Going to or will ?

Some Internet tests are like real life:
Chelsea will win the match. Chelsea are going to win the match.
Both are correct English. But the “matiz” is different

Approximate simplified rule for Spanish speakers:
If you’d say voy a, vas a etc in Spanish, use going to in English.

Trickier: when you use the  present in Spanish  with a future meaning:
Very immediate eg We’re leaving
Immediate decision: What about the money? I’ll tell you later.
Informal near future: what are you doing after class?

Here are some  links etc. None of this material is my copyright.

going to
-plans
-when you can see what's going to happen

will

-immediate decisions( Note these are in PRESENT IN Spanish , eg no 1. Ahora voy a comprar...: )
-scientific predictions
